Needs

As the online business has changed its direction into strengthening mobile services, they decided to renew the Kumon World mobile application to expand the users from parents to everyone.

Project Goal

Only parents used this mobile application to check their children’s learning status. After the renewal, parents, children, adult learning members, and even non-members became available to use this mobile application.

UX/UI Principle

Smooth subscription/login process

Non-members have become browse the contents of the product introduction and promotion freely. And we reorganized the complicated sign-up and login process with a natural flow – the sign-up path was bifurcated into Kyowon members and Kumon members, which made users feel confused.

Intuitive learning status check

In the previous user interface, it was hard for users to recognize that the progress status of students was showing as a traffic light graphical signal. And the progress rate was not easy to read because it was in a table rather than a graph, so it was not easy to grasp the progress and the flow at once.
We improved this user interface of learning status to be simple and more intuitive. The details of learning subjects, studying state, progress graph, grade comparison, awards, diagnosis, so on.

Design Concept

We emphasized a bright and lively image with the concept of ‘Study Vitamin’.
This mobile application is designed like a shopping app, a social app those are frequently used in everyday life, so that main users such as parents and students feel free to approach.
