About Client

CESCO is a company of total hygiene solutions and services based on the living environment.
It has maintained South Korea’s best position for a long time in the field.
Its main businesses are pest control, food safety, and air quality control.​


Needs

Recently, the air quality of South Korea needs to be cared, because the air quality has deteriorated. In addition to fine dust and ultrafine dust, radon, a radioactive substance in daily life, should also be managed. CESCO has developed a new air purifier with air cleaning and radon removal.
Thus, CESCO requested us to design the user experience of a new air cleaner for the IoT mobile application. We had an IoT user experience design, but since air-purifying was a new field, we needed to research the user’s experience of it again.​


Project Goal

We designed that maintains optimal air quality by directly or automatically controlling and managing device control, automatic air cleanliness, radon control, etc.
The mobile application automatically maintains optimal air quality by recognizing the air quality situation around users.


UX Consulting

Based on our experience of IoT UX design, we conducted a UX consulting for CESCO’s air purifier business.
We set up a virtual user by type (setting a persona) to elicit inconvenience with main behavior patterns, found a solution, and suggested them to CESCO.

UI Principle

Based on the organic data exchange between mobile apps and air purifiers, the air quality is improved by considering the user’s situation.​

Design Concept

We emphasized the service identity by reflecting the CESCO’s round shape on the background.
We configured each exponential step as a different color to make it faster and easier to identify exponential information.
